02 March 2026 - 08 March 2026The heat low-pressure cell covered upper Thailand in the first half of the week. After that, the high-pressure area from China extended its ridge to cover the east side of northeastern region and the South China Sea in the second half of the week, inducing the southerly and southeasterly winds prevailed over upper Thailand during that period. In addition, the confluence of the southwesterly and the southeasterly winds prevailed over the lower central, the eastern and the lower northeastern region on 6 Mar. These conditions caused hot weather over most areas of upper Thailand almost the week, while rainfall was mainly observed in the second half of the week. For the southern region, the westerly winds prevailed over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand in the first half of the week and then the easterly and southeasterly winds blowing over the Gulf of Thailand, southern Thailand and the Andaman Sea causing rainfall mainly in the second half of the week.
