Weather Outlook During 10 – 16 Jun 2026During 10 – 11 Jun 2026, the moderate to rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon trough lie across Myanmar, the upper North into the low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea. More rains and isolated heavy rains are forecast in the country while Isolated very heavy rains are possible in the western part of the North and the upper Northeast. During 12 – 16 Jun 2026, the monsoon trough will move to lie across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam while the monsoon prevailing over the upper country is strengthening. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the country while Isolated very heavy rains are possible in the western part of the North and the Central. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high, 1 - 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand and above 2 meters high in thundershowers throughout the period.
Caution
People in the country, especially in the western part of the North during 10 – 11 and 14 - 15 Jun, the upper Northeast during 10 – 11 Jun, in the western part of the Central during 13 – 15 Jun, should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
