8 – 14 September 2026During 8 – 9 September 2026, more rains in the upper country with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the in the North and the Northeast. During 10 – 11 September 2026, Increased rainfall is expected in the Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South, with isolated heavy to very heavy rains. The lower North and the lower Northeast will still have isolated heavy to very heavy rains. After that during 12 – 14 September 2026, less rains are forecast in the North and the Northeast while isolated heavy rains are possible in the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South regions. In the South still has isolated heavy to very heavy rains. Because of the high pressure system from south China will extend to the upper North and the upper Northeast lead the monsoon trough which lie across the North and the upper Northeast move down to the lower Central, the East and the lower Northeast of Thailand while the modertared southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. The moderated winds and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high, 1 - 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers throughout the period. In addition, 11 - 13 September, 2026, the low-pressure system over the central South China Sea is likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone. Caution
People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
