General Situation
06 October 2026The high-pressure system from China extendeds to cover the upper Northeastern region, expected to covers the North and the Central by tonight (5 October 2026) with the easterly and the southeasterly wind brings moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the country while the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand. Thundershowers and gusty wind with hail including lightning strikes are likely in the upper country. People in the country should beware of the severe condition and accumulated rain that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands with gusty winds and lighting strikes by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. For the Andaman Sea and the Gulf, waves will be higher than 2 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should keep off thundershowers. In addition, during 9-13 October 2026, the another high pressure system from China will extend to cover the Northeast and the South China Sea leading to the monsoon trough move down to lies across the East, the upper South. Meanwhile the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rains are forecast in the East, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity and the South. During this period, people are advised to closely monitor weather forecasts and people in the affected areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulated rains that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.

Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain, gust and hail in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Samut Songkhram . Minimum temperature 24-27 °C. Maximum temperature 33-35 °C. Variable winds 10–20 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain with gust in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Minimum temperature 24–26 °C. Maximum temperature 32-35 °C. Southeastherly winds 15–30 km./hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 22–24 °C. Maximum temperature 33–35 °C. Westherly winds 10–30 km./hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Phuket, Krabi, Trang, and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-25 °C. Maximum temperature 32–34 °C. Northwestherly winds 15–30 km./hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
