Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand

On
10 September 2026, the high-pressure system from China
extend to the upper North and the upper Northeast of Thailand leading to the
monsoon trough move down to lies across the lower North, the upper Central and
the lower Northeast into an active low-pressure cell over the middle South
China Sea. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman
Sea, the South, the Central, the East and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the
country while isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the
Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the
South regions.
During
11-13
September 2026, the high pressure system from China will extend
to the upper North and the upper Northeast leading the monsoon trough move down
to lie across the lower Central, the upper Gulf, the East and the lower
Northeast into an active low-pressure cell over the middle South China Sea
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea the South and
the Gulf will strengthen.
More
rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the South while
isolated heavy rains are possible in the lower Northeast, the Central including
Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. Less rains are forecast in
the North and the Northeast.
People
in should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause
flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near
foothills and lowlands.
In
addition, during 11-13 September 2026, an active
low-pressure cell over the middle South China Sea is expected to intensify to
tropical storm and will move near the coast of upper Vietnam during
14-15
