Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in upper Thailand
No.13 (180/2026)

The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper
Northeast of Thailand into tropical storm “SAUDEL” over the upper South China
Sea. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman
Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are forecast in
Thailand especially in the North and the eastern part of the Northeast regions.
People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and
accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially
along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper
Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In
the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters
high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should
proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper
Andaman Sea keep ashore.
In addition, tropical storm “SAUDEL” over the upper South
China Sea is forecast to move near Taiwan during 5-7 September 2026. The
travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling. This storm is
not move to Thailand.
