Subject: Heavy to very heavy rains in Thailand,
Strong Wind-Waves in the Andaman Sea

The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon through lies across upper Thailand. Continous rains and scattered heavy rains are forecast in the country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the South, the East and the western part of the North and the Central regions. People in Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.
The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea from Phuket northward up to be 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea from Krabi downward and the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
