Subject: Variable Weather in Upper Thailand
No.2 (236/2026)

During 4-7 October 2026, variable weather is expected in upper Thailand with the present of thundershowers, gusty wind and heavy rains in someplace. The effect will occur in many parts as follow:
- On 4 October 2026, the upper and the eastern part of the North and the Northeast regions.
- During 5-6 October 2026, the North, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity, the East and the South regions while less rains in the Northeast.
- On 7 October 2026, the western part of the North and the western part of the Central regions.
Because of the high pressure system from China will extend to cover the upper North and the Northeast regions while the southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf.
People in the country should beware of thundershowers, gusty wind, heavy rains and accumulated rains that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. In addition, people should avoid staying in open areas, under large trees, or near unstable billboards.
The strengthened winds force the wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf up to above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
After that, during 8-12 October 2026, isolated heavy to very heavy rains is likely in the East and the South. The public is advised to stay tuned for the weather update.
