Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
No.11 (227/2026)

During 26 – 27
September 2026, an active
low-pressure cell over the Central including Bangkok and vicinity is expected
to move to the Central along the monsoon trough lies across upper Thailand. Meanwhile
the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf are
strengthening.
Continuous
rainfall and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are
likely in the Central including Bangkok and vicinity and the East. After
that, less rain with isolated heavy rains are likely in the western part of
the North and the Central.
People in the country should beware of heavy
to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and
landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The strengthening winds forces the wave in
the upper Gulf and the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf
and the lower Andaman Sea, the waves are likely about 2 meters high and above 2
meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep
off thundershowers, small boat in the upper Gulf and the upper Andaman Sea keep
ashore lasting 27 September 2026.
