Subject: Summer thunderstorm in the upper country
(Effect on 16–20 April 2026)

During 16–20 April 2026, the high-pressure system from China will extend to the South China Sea leading to the southerly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the lower Northeast and the East will strengthen while hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorm, gusty wind and hail including lightning in some areas of the Northeast and the East for the first period then the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the North regions, respectively. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals danger.
